Dennis Clark said on his website several months ago that Andre McGary has not lived in Chattanooga long enough to know the people and resources that can help him implement a solid plan to make change. Now after interacting and getting to know Andrae’ he has endorsed Andrae’ stating that he “has what it takes to move this district forward.” I wouldn’t doubt that he saw in Andrae’ what I have seen-a leader who has the uncanny ability to join together all types of people to solve problems with the needed resources. Mr. Clark also said that he looks “forward to working with our next city councilman, Andrae McGary." I hope his supporters will join Dennis in not only voting in Andrae' McGary as our new City Council Representative but also working with Andrae’ to bring needed change to our district. If you meet Andrae' you can't help but to be impressed with his charisma, his cleverness, and his ability to relate well to diverse groups of people. I believe that as a councilman, Andrae' will strive to be open, fair, and accountable. The progress of some areas in our district under our current Councilman pale when compared to the many areas in our district that have not progressed and even regressed under his leadership. The ills that affect some communities such as Avondale and Oak Grove deter and I would even say diminish the progression of the neighboring communities such as Ferger Place and the Downtown communities. Again I may not look completely eye-to-eye with Healy, but I totally agree with him that right now we need new leadership in District 8.
